UMI/Proquest's ETD Submission Project
UMI/Proquest is teaming with Berkeley Electronic Press to provide the infrastructure for an online submission system to institutions that send ETDs to UMI/Proquest. The institution will configure submission pages to its needs and the needs of its students, using the UMI/Proquest site as a staging area. Complete workflow, from student submission, and institutional review, through final upload to the UMI/Proquest dissertation website (and subsequent automatic copying to the institution's library) will be developed and maintained by UMI/Proquest in partnership with BEPress, at no additional cost to the institution or the student. The goal of the endeavor is to provide institutions with a sustainable solution covering the authoring process, submission, publication, distribution and preservation of ETDs.
