Case Studies of Content Management and Cross Media Publishing Solutions
The lecture describes current solutions in the area of content management and cross media publishing. In addition to the technical aspects of modern CMS application, examples of concrete projects carried out by NIONEX GmbH will be given. For instance: * The new Bertelsmann AG Intranet based on Tridion R5 CMS * The wissen media publishing house and wissen.de cross media platform, BeCom, designed for print, Internet, I-TV and mobile devices * The media portal for Humboldt University in Berlin * Bund publishing house's content production and associated printed manual "Handbuch Arbeitsrecht" (labor law guide), which are based on an XML-oriented content management system A short look at further functions such as knowledge management (search & retrieval) and e-learning applications will be given. These were also demonstrated in addition to the projects during the conference exhibition at the NIONEX GmbH stand. The lecture is directed at people responsible for decision-making in media, computer centers and libraries and at anyone who is interested because they have already had something to do with content management or related themes.
